Description

Rachel’s Farm is a retreat farm in Scotland, hosting wellbeing, yoga, and art retreats throughout the year. We are currently seeking Freelance Private Chefs and Front of House / Hosts to join us for our upcoming retreat season.

Our retreats are intimate and nurturing experiences, welcoming guests—primarily women—who come to rest, reconnect, and feel truly cared for. If you enjoy working in calm, meaningful environments and being part of a small, supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Retreats

  • Retreats run between April and November

  • Each retreat lasts 4–8 days (average 7 days)

  • On-site accommodation provided

  • Rural location near Stirling (own transport required)

Role 1: Freelance Private Chef

About the Role

Food is a central part of the retreat experience—nourishing, comforting, and made with heart.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cooking daily meals: breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner

  • Working in an open kitchen where guests may interact

  • Preparing simple, generous, family-style food (not fine dining)

  • Adapting menus to various dietary requirements, including:

    • Vegan

    • Gluten-free

    • Lactose-free

What We’re Looking For

  • A warm, grounded, and flexible chef

  • Experience cooking for small groups or retreats (desirable)

  • Comfortable with long days (with breaks after each meal)

  • Independent, organised, and happy working in a rural setting

  • Must have own car

Role 2: Front of House / Host

About the Role

You will be the main on-site host, ensuring guests feel welcomed, supported, and cared for throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as the main point of contact for guests

  • Creating a warm, calm, and organised atmosphere

  • Assisting the chef when required

  • Setting up and maintaining coffee & tea stations

  • Ensuring snacks, drinks, and supplies are always available

  • Supporting the smooth running of the weekly retreat schedule

  • Providing general light support to ensure retreats flow well

What We’re Looking For

  • A caring, reliable, and proactive individual

  • Experience in hospitality, retreats, or events (desirable)

  • Strong people skills and attention to detail

  • Comfortable with long days (with breaks after each meal)

  • Calm under pressure and confident multitasking

  • Must have own car
