We’re Hiring: UPS Field Service Engineer (Scotland)
Location: Newbridge, Edinburgh, UK
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 per week (Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend/night shifts)
Norco Group Ltd is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Field Engineer. Based at our Newbridge facility, this role involves working across mainland Scotland (and occasionally further afield), delivering high-quality service and support for UPS systems.

Role Overview
As a Field Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
Installing and commissioning new UPS systems
Replacing end-of-life products
Performing planned and reactive maintenance
This role is ideal for apprentice-trained electricians with industrial experience, looking to specialise in UPS technology. Candidates with existing UPS experience are also encouraged to apply.
Training & Development
Onsite training with experienced UPS Engineers
In-house training on testing equipment
Opportunities for manufacturer training courses
Responsibilities
Electrical installations (AC/DC systems, communication cabling)
UPS system commissioning and certification
Preventative and reactive maintenance
Fault diagnosis and component replacement
Adherence to QHSE standards
Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
- City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 / 2391
- ONC/HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience
- Full UK Manual Driver’s License
