MP Group UK Ltd is a construction group specialising in energy efficiency, fit-out, mechanical & electrical, fire & security, property maintenance and renewables.

The Group covers the whole of the United Kingdom and provides services direct to local authorities, businesses, housing associations, energy companies and large retail clients.

Role Overview

The Senior Contracts Manager will oversee the successful delivery of our projects in the West of Scotland, ensuring that programmes, quality standards, and client expectations are consistently achieved. You will provide strong leadership to site teams, act as the key interface between the company, design teams, and clients, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple project teams, including Site Managers and Resident Liaison Officers.
  • Oversee all site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to specification.
  • Coordinate and liaise with clients, architects, consultants, and other stakeholders on technical and design matters.
  • Review and interpret design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Support pre-construction and planning phases, including buildability reviews and methodology input.
  • Monitor progress and programme performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality management systems.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for project delivery staff.
  • Collaborate closely with Quantity Surveyors to ensure financial targets align with operational objectives.
  • Report regularly to senior management on project status, risks, and performance.
  • Manage and monitor subcontractor performance.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager within the construction industry.
  • Strong background in managing multiple projects and multidisciplinary site teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and technical standards.
  • Demonstrable experience liaising with architects, engineers, and clients.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Sound understanding of health, safety, and quality management systems.
  • Relevant construction qualification (HNC/D or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field).
  • CSCS Black Card and SMSTS certification desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
