The Binn Group is Scotland's largest privately owned resource and waste management group, and we're looking for a passionate and driven HR professional to join our team! As a key member of our HR team, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact on our employees and help us continue to grow.

About the role:

Reporting to the HR Manager, you'll play a vital role in all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to development and offboarding. You'll be responsible for managing employee data, handling HR inquiries, and supporting the HR function with various projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Collating hours for weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Liaising with Finance department and payroll provider.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive employee onboarding programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in our HR information system (HRIS).
  • Respond to employee inquiries via the HR mailbox, providing timely and helpful support.
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager on special projects and initiatives to continuously improve our HR function.
  • Prepare HR-related documents, such as letters, emails, and HRIS updates.
  • Support the management team in adhering to company policies and procedures.

What you'll bring:

  • Discretion and confidentiality: You understand the sensitive nature of HR information and handle it with the utmost care.
  • Administrative experience: You have a proven track record of success in an office or administrative role.
  • Tech-savviness: You're proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and eager to learn new systems.
  • Excellent communication skills: You can communicate clearly and effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Autonomy and initiative: You're comfortable working independently and take initiative to learn and grow.

Bonus points:

  • CIPD certification or progress towards it.
  • Passion for sustainability and recycling
  • MUST HAVE Right to work in the UK

  • Flexible working hours (24 hours per week, Monday required, but flexible with rest of week and open to discussion regarding weekly hours.
  • Hybrid/Onsite location in Glenfarg, Perthshire. Minimum two days onsite.
